The port of Trapani,

The port of Trapani mainly connects Sicily with the Egadi Islands and Pantelleria. It used to be a historical port for traffic with North Africa, countries such as Tunis. Nowadays the port is still connected to Tunis but also to Northern cities such as: Cagliari, Nice, Toulon and Livorno.

Every year over 3 million tons of goods pass through the port of Trapani, but the main activity are cruise ships and passenger traffic.

There is also a tourist landing place for around 200 boats.

Classified as a commercial port of national interest, the port of Trapani. The wreck of the City of Trapani was the protagonist of the 32nd America's Cup in 2005 for Acts 8 & 9 of the Louis Vuitton Cup.
